05 Oct 2009 – Nice result in the cold cold Eiffel! Coming up to the busy October month, in which the season will be rounded up with the three remaining races, there was a major change made to the car. For the Friday test a new shock package was mounted to see if this will help the MSpeed squad in scoring even more podiums. This is an essential part for the cars behavior and so really important. At the arrival in the Eiffel mountains it was cold! At some places the cars already had frozen windows and during the day the temperature was not much better. The fall had definitely arrived here..
On Friday the test session was used to find an optimal set-up for the race. Marco Seefried and Nick de Bruijn used the entire session to find the right set-up and a decision to use the shocks for the race was quickly made. This would help them in getting a better result and the hopes were high for the race the day after! On the Saturday morning it was up to Nick to fine-tune the set-up so that the car would be perfect for the later qualifying run.
